Mercury New OEM Trim/Tilt Port LH Analog Sender Sending Unit 821180A6, 8M0098273

Works on 1990 150hp also
This sender also worked on my 1990 150hp Mercury Blackmax SN 0C247826. My boat did not come with a trim/tilt guage so after all these years I decided to add one. Starting with the guage: Part number 79-1511A7 in my old docs has been replaced with 79-895292Q41 and is an exact match with my other gages. I couldn't find a part number in my docs for the sender unit so decided to give this one a try. It worked!

Exactly As Pictured
Exactly like the picture with the orange-ish "X 1000" just like the original 1990 one I replaced.
I believe it's that suffix "Q43" that makes it that way? Others have blue lettering.
Prompt delivery. Thanks much.

Received a Defective One I'm Sure
3 of 4 found this helpful I've installed lots of CPUs, so no problems with that. I even purchased a much larger heat sink to ensure it stayed cool.
The problem is the computer (a Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H) would randomly reboot. Browse the web for 15-20 minutes it would reboot. Run Word (2016) for Windows for 15 - 20 minutes and it would reboot. Fortunately didn't lose the doc thanks to Word's recovery mode. Just letting it sit there for 20-30 minutes and it would reboot.
I reinstalled the Core 2 Duo and the problem ceased to exist.
Definitely got a bad one.
