Replacing Hard 2 Find Playtex Nipples
For 19 years and 20+ kids I have been religiously using Playtex orthodontic latex nipples and their drop in bottles.
Every baby: never colic, never latex allergy, barely spit up-very small amount, never leaked out the side of mouth, never wet shirt fronts or stinky necks from milk in neck crack.
LOVE them. I just don't get why latex is so hard to find, yet the only option hospitals have for newborns???
For the last 10 years or so, they are mission impossible to find. When you do find a 2 paxk the price is insane like $40 for 2!!!
Latex like rubber tires and plastic car seats expires. It becomes weak, stretching out past safe use as well as a choking hazard should it break in babies mouth. I have certainly noticed the Playtex nipples are wearing much much faster than bedore. 4-6 would get me through bottle stage, now 12+.
Not risking the choking hazard, had to find something else. I literally tried every single nipple I could find, $100 later found these on eBay. They were a suggestion to my Playtex nipples.
Wasn't sure they would fit the bottles I had, NUK has several size options. Mine are the regular Nuk bottles from walmart not the Simply Natural.
My girls love them! Same benefits as Playtex nipples without the steep price.

Bought 2 1 broke 1st day
7 of 14 found this helpful I purchased two of these for my boys, one of the magazines was broken, on the first day of play it kept jamming and a piece came off the back.
I know they are cheap but for $16 I feel like it should have lasted at least a couple of times and come in one piece.
However, the second one is perfect. Not sure what happened with the other one.
