works ok but...
I bought it in a pinch for an old Canon Powershot A520 because it needs small cards. Then I found that it can use up to a 2 GB, so I bought one of those, still under $10.

Seems fine
I bought it for someone else who didn't know where to find any, we've had one around for a few years. I don't use one.
Seems OK, but the point is maybe sharper than it needs to be. Whack your hand with it, it almost draws blood. Never thought of using one to smash out a car window.

These things are great
I've got 4 or 5 of them at least, on almost every computer. And whole-house WiFi becomes a reality. Not as fast as a wired network but totally impromptu. These long antennas have gain over the 2 inch variety so the reception is better. Linux has built-in drivers for the network stuff so you just plug it in and it works.
