Basic DVD-ROM, good value

This drive is not a burner, it just has read-only functionality. However, if your burner was dead like my original was, seeing this spin up to load media or play movies,,, whew! :)

Great replacement for malfunctioning drive

Flip the laptop over, remove the battery, undo all catches to remove your currently non-working drive, slide it out, snap the replacement in until it is fully seated, then you're back in business.
