Marshall DSL 15H sounds great
I've owned a single channel JCM 800 combo, numerous JCM 900 MKIIIs, an original silver jubilee and a DSL 100. I'd put this up against any of them. With the deep switch you get good low end thump. I own a Mesa Mark IIC+ head and A/Bd them. I can't say it's just as good as an amp that costs 10 times as much, but I don't know of any amp at a $400 price point that sounds as rich, warm and musical as this little head.
