Merino wool socks
These socks fit well, are well made and comfortable. They say they will fit many different shoe sizes, I'm a 10.5D and they work well. The spousal unit wears about a size 9 in womens shoes and they fit her just fine. At about $4/pair you'll probably be satisfied with them, I am/

Stay open to new opportunities but remember what has worked for you, in the past.
Duracell is a known commodity, I should have stuck with them instead of messing around with some stuff with a similar sounding brand name, made in some part of the world I will never see.

Symetrix 528E Voice Processor
This quite an effective channel strip/voice processor that is very refinable to specific voices and microphones. There is a learning curve with most electronic and audio devices, reading the instruction manual and taking notes from other users can be helpful in getting a well modeled sound. The manufacturer's default values are uncannily accurate as a point of departure, tweeking around in very small graduations from the default values will provide readily noticeable results.
The 528E, as with many other similar designs is arranged from left to right for the adjusting process, it does not have to be a random, shot-in-the-dark adventure to get good results. The preamp has very good quality, I fed condenser and dynamic mics into it and have also use a couple of Triton FEThead signal boosters on high input hungry mics like the EV RE20.. I had to use the -15 db pad attenuator as the FEThead was coming in way too hot without it. However, with the signal boost inline the preamp only needed to 30 db to produce a very nice output level into the mixing console.
I can't tell you that a used Symetrix 528E is a lot better than a DBX 286S but it is different and I prefer the 528E over the 286S for a couple of different mics.
If there is one minor issue it would be the absence of an on/off switch. You plug it in, it's on, you unplug it, it's off. Haha, you could also hook it up to a conditioned power strip with an on/off switch and accomplish the same thing... like I said, it is a pretty minor thing. Besides, which, the unit is designed to be installed in an equipment rack so having to turn it on or off inside the rack could be a nuisance.
