Baader planetarium Neodymium filter

I bought this filter specifically to use with a baader planetarium continuum filter and g-ccd filter to eliminate the infrared / uv light and to cut down on the parasitic color leakage the continuum filter transmits. If you know what you are doing, and wish to eliminate certain bands of light from exiting your color filters then you NEED the neodymium filter. It can be used to cut down the bandwidth considerably on several baader planetarium filters! It can also increase/enhance contrast of your baader planetarium H-alpha CCD filters.

GSO dual speed 10:1 SCT micro focuser

The GSO SCT micro focuser is an "okay" focuser. It is very heavy duty, and for this reason I do not recommend it. It is over built. Way too big! Way too heavy. Its called a "micro focuser" but there is nothing micro about it except the dual speed stepping ability. All in all if you are looking for a "cheap" focuser made with high quality durability then this is should be your first choice. The bearings are smooth, the control knobs are metal. It has drag control for the tension speed. It users standard 2" SCT female thread for mounting and the mounting plate is inter changeable to larger sizes. I actually used this focuser for my refractor project and not an SCT. If you are looking for a smaller foot print focuser on your SCT, do not get this. It is heavy, and quite large(~80mm in diameter). You may consider spending the extra $200.00 for a JMI ev2 sct focuser, it contains a foot print which is much more desireable.
