Handy to Have

Short cable permits connection and disconnection of one cable to this cable rather than connecting to directly to the computer. I.E the external device needs to hooked or disconnected frequently and this cable reduces the risk of damage to the USB socket on the computer.

They work just fine. Easy to install and I put one on the end of an extension cord so that I could remotely turn an item connected to the cord On or Off. At the end of the cord connect a double receptacle metal box and install a GFCI receptacle on one side and the switch on the other.
