Good enough gauge, good enough stand let down by poor quality control.

However, overall the build quality was let down by something minor wrong with the stand that I will have to live with for ever. I made the mistake of sliding the vertical adjuster off the top of the vertical rod without noticing that the top cap was fractionally larger than the actual diameter of the rod (a manufacturing issue) with the result that it scored the inside of the slider badly. This then means that the slider can no longer slide up and down cleanly AND it badly scratches the vertical rod each time I move it. Will have to sort out the burr...
The gauge itself is adequate for my needs, so overall it is good value but you do get what you pay for.

Not able to be used as accurately as I expected.
This is a moderately well made stand that is useful to a degree... my gripe with it is that the tolerance of the hinge mechanism is too great, so there is play in the arm when you bring the disc cutter down.
Setting it up is fiddly, I feel it is only suitable for moderately accurate cuts as it is so difficult to ensure the cut is vertical as it rocks when pressure is applied to the pivot.
For the price adequate, but it is let down by that one issue.

Wish I had bought these sooner...
I bought these circlip piers to replace a next to useless set with interchangeable tips. Wow, what a difference. Really good quality and an amazing price, highly recommended.
