Great avionics GPS BACKUP
4 of 4 found this helpful First off seller was excellent but the D2 itself is a great backup for another Garmin product installed in my aircraft.It is I must admit a little harder to use than a 795 but does provide another quick way to get closest airport info.
The D2's major drawback is battery life if you intend to use it as a daily watch as well as a GPS.Not going to work out well I am afraid also if you neglect to switch back to watch only mode after flying time keeping will end sooner than you think.Overall biggest thing is to memorize functions and you will have a great GPS avionics backup
