Good Childrens Device
I purchased a Nabi for my 6-year-old son to help him positively engage and interact with electronical learning activities. He loves it and looks forward to using it. There are many nice features; however the one most appealing to me is Parent Mode and Nabi Mode that allows me to use discretion and customize apps with the device. Parents can download and select the most appropriate apps to make available to child by adding and removing them into and out of Nabi mode, yet they're still available in Parent mode at the parent's discretion when they think the child is ready for it. Also the child specific apps to assist with subjects of math, science, social studies, reading, etc are very nice. Other nice features include the classic shock resistant bumper, and the lightweight size and style. I recommend parents getting a Nabi for a young child at any learning level. The only drawback for us was the reading component. My son felt discouraged while reading because he wasn't familiar with reading large words on his own and the words were a bit difficult for him to use as sight words. We still think it's a good childrens device.
