Interesting facts, beyond just a field identification guide
This isn't just a book about identifying native plants - there are interesting stories and observations unique to each species, which enhances appreciation for what you're looking at. The only downside is how the book is organized - alphabetically by genus - which doesn't lend itself well to finding what you're looking for (for example, a red tubular flower). Its not as big a problem in the vines, shrubs, and trees sections.
