LABEDA Wheels 80mm 94A EXTREME HARD WHITE 8-Pack Inline Outdoor Hockey
    Apr 21, 2017
    Great wheels.
I wanted harder, but at 94A, these will do. I needed tall and narrow wheels, and these fit the bill. I had other wheels at 101A, but they were too fat and only 56mm. These were 24mm wide and 80mm diameter, perfect for my application.

The Definitive Sons of the Pioneers recording
As a kid, I spent lots of time at a Christian camp called the Triple-R Ranch in Chesapeake, Va. I started in the winter riding club, which they ran to pay for keeping the horses. The purpose for it all was summer camp, 8 weeks, starting with 8-10 year olds, and moving up in ages to high school teens. They held classes that campers would take every morning: 4 classes, 3 of which were electives, (Crafts, Archery, Horseback Riding, Canoeing, etc.). The 4th was Bible, which was required. It was in this Bible class that I first confronted my own sin, repented, and became a Christian. It was a wonderful time of my life, and I have unbelievably intense & fond memories of it. Unbelievably, it is still there. At summer camp, they would broadcast, over a loudspeaker, music to signal changing classes. The music played for 10 minutes, & when it stopped, you were supposed to be at your next class. The Triple-R was heavily involved with horses, having over 50, so they played western cowboy songs to set the mood. I remember hearing Tumbling Tumbleweeds and Cool Water many, many times. I bet those 2 songs played 80% or more of the time. All summer long. I spent all summer there for 3 years, working in different jobs, so I got to hear the music a lot. I always wanted to go back & find the recording they played, but the Lodge burned down about 20 years or so ago, & it was forever lost. I’ve bought many western music CDs hoping to find those songs. The Sons of the Pioneers CD reissue (Tumbling Tumbleweeds [Universal, 1993]) was the original 1930’s recording. It sounded tinny & was unsatisfying. I bought the Reader’s Digest 4-CD set. It sounded good, but not exactly the same. I bought Cool Water, the remastered 1958 recording in “Living Stereo” from RCA. It has 18 songs, including Cool Water and Tumbling Tumbleweeds. THEY ARE THE ONES! Exactly the songs I used to hear all summer at the Triple-R. They are well recorded & sound great. This CD has many traditional cowboy songs. It’s a desert-isle disk, and worth whatever it costs. If you love these old western songs, you won’t be disappointed. Find it. Buy it. Enjoy it.
