Bulb Blew out in only a few days of use
The bulb arrived very timely...I installed it wearing gloves(no touching of the bulb) We used it about 5-6 days occasionally and the bulb blew out.not a good thing.

Icom IC-706 (all versions) and IC-7200 Super-QUIET Constant Cooling Fan
1 of 1 found this helpful PROS: This fan works perfectly, it runs very quiet and is very easy to install. It holds temp of outcomming air((see below)) to around 83- 84F(lower than without it) while using the radio at about 30-40% tx
Con: The expanding screw receptacles(blue wall anchors) and screws seem a little too long, the fan sits away from the heat sink fins and draws air from from the space between the fins and the fan body. I created a shroud(with tape) to aid in air flow out of the radio and away from the heat sink. This resulted in the temp stated above. Prior to the tape the temp was as high as 88F. With only the radio fan randomly running the temp could reach 92-94F under the above conditions.
This is not ment to be a criticism of its operation, but just an aid towards better performance.
