Mixed feelings about this product
Ordered steering kit at a very good price and it shipped quickly. It has a heavy feel to it and the 1 ton tie rod ends are quite beefy. Kit installed easily enough. The first issue I had was with the placement of the bar lockdown clamps , the one on the drag link at the passenger side and the one on the passenger side of the tie rod will interfere/contact each other if placed where recommended by the instructions. The next problem I had was tightening the unbolts on the steering stabilizer mount . Just using a 1/4 inch drive ratchet (no cheater pipe) while laying on the ground not really putting much torque into at all and one of the ends of ubolt snapped in half. Had to go to hardware store and buy replacement. Driving with this T-style setup ,it's not a responsive as the original Inverted y style from factory. Jeep seems to wander a little while driving. Slightest hint of the dreaded "dead spot" that can be common with this setup from what I have researched. Haven't tried a anti roll spacer yet. Will install this weekend and hope this tightens it all up. My Jeep is a 99 TJ with a 1&1/2 lift. I'm told that the more lift the worse deadspot can be. Still find this product to be average to slightly better than average overall.
