very good value
1 of 1 found this helpful I have already burned 5 disks and will do 10 more this weekend. I saw on a forum that it MAY burn DL disks (BD-RE) - going to try to find some soon just to confirm that.
VERY satisfied with it. I would buy another one if I ever needed a secondary optical drive.
Unfortunately, i do not have a blue-ray movie to try.

great drive
I love my 2.5" drives from seagate. I can use them in my laptop, my desktop, or in a 2.5" external case which gives me a lot of versatility with my drives. I prefer Seagate products whenever i can get them. The other big name brands are good but nothong beats a Seagate.

1 of 1 found this helpful one of the best for the the price. It will handle a 4 core AMD CPU and up to 8 gb of memory. It has a single PCI-E x16 slot and one x1 slot as well as 2 standard PCI slots. The onboard video (Radeon 2100) can use up to 512mb of the installed memory (some only allow use of 128mb or 256mb)
It is easy to find a very affordable AMD Athlon 64 x2 CPU for under $10 and you can get 2gb of memory for $10 to $12, add a cooling fan for under $10 and you have most of what you need if you can re-use other parts like case, power supply, hard drive and DVD drive.
