1 of 1 found this helpful The last time I had a check engine light cost me $6,500 and a total engine tear down. So I have been wanting a way to check things quickly. Recently I had a light on and when I checked it with this unit, it gave me several codes that did not appear significant. So I reset the light and have not had any repeats since. Saves a lot of concern and trips to someone who could analyze the light. Well worth the minor cost.

Saved Me from A Dealer Installed Costly Compressor
Dealer diagnosed bad compressor ($$$). My independent mechanic recommended this instead. Worked fine after installation. Saved significant amount.
