Not a direct replacement part.
This cord is not a direct replacement for the cord on a Singer 194828 foot pedal for a 403 machine. It was necessary to make the following changes:
1. Add ring terminals to the wire ends.
2. Move the strain relief about 3/4" farther from the terminal end of the cord. Boil in water to do this.
3. Modify the strain relief to fit the slot in the foot pedal housing.
It works well after these modifications but some people might not want or be able to do them. I would have returned the product but was in a hurry to get the machine running.

Works OK but does seem to be slower in delivery. Maybe better filtration?

As good as it gets!
These are genuine Hayward parts so they are the best you could hope for. I suggest you examine your unit completely to determine if other parts are needed as this is a significant tear-down. You might want to replace some other parts at the same time.
