Rock and mineral resource
The photos are wonderful and the details about the rocks, minerals, and gems are useful. Includes real world applications which is important when you are describing to others how these are useful. Will be using in a science class.

Great engagement
This is a wonderful book to engage young adolescents in Science class. During the ocean section, this is a good source to incorporate reading in the classroom and Scholastic provides supportive lessons for this book. I'm glad I asked my son what he was reading.
