Convenient and sturdy litter pan
The litter pan is sturdy and the wire grate locks down securely and sits low enough that the ferrets can get in and out easily. The box is big enough even for my largest male. Best of all, the box fits through the door of my ferret cage, so I don't have to take the top off the cage to remove the box for cleaning.
Ferret owners be aware that the cage mount is pretty low. Two of my cages have a high plastic base, so I had to put a wooden slat under the litter boxes to raise them up to where the cage mount could reach the wire part of the cage.
My only concern long term is that the cage mount has a plastic cap that screws on to hold it in place. I'm hoping it will be durable enough to hold up to every day use since it has to be unscrewed to remove the box then reattached to secure the box again after cleaning.
This would be the absolutely perfect ferret litter box if the cage mount was designed like other ferret boxes so that it could be removed and replaced more easily.

A good design
The litter box is well designed. It works well with ferrets. It is big enough that even the biggest males can fit in it, but it is small enough to fit into the cage although I have to pop the top off my two small cages in order to get it in and out.
The cage mount works much better than other box designs. It is very easy to remove the box for cleaning, but the ferrets can't detach it. The wire grate on this box sits securely and doesn't tip forward which was a problem with other boxes I tried.
The only minor issue I had was the wire grate banged loudly which scared some of the ferrets. That was easily fixed by bending the grate slightly so that it would sit firmly on all of the supports.
Love this box and intend to buy more of them ... when I can afford it.
