Haven't been able to get it to work...
Was hoping this would replace a possibly-damaged APM 2.5 controller which has an on-board compass that doesn't work properly. No such luck.
1. The new controller DOES NOT ARM the motors on the 'copter AT ALL (the old one still does).
2. The new controller does not show the external compass (which came as part of the GPS unit) as working at all. (The old controller still does - albeit the compass gets "east" and "west" mixed up.)
3. There are NO instructions for mounting, connecting or using ANY of the components of this "package" deal.

Better than OEM part
This Roll Arm Replacement appears to be exactly like the OEM part except it is milled from an aluminum block (rather than being an injection-molded plastic part). In crashes of DJI Phantom 3 drones this part of the gimbal almost always takes a beating and usually the ring snaps off from the base plate (or, at least, the ring gets twisted out of alignment with the base plate -thus ruining the arm for subsequent use.) The aluminum roll arm is not as likely to break or twist in low-speed crashes, thus saving some time and money if you are unfortunate enough to experience one.

NO it is not "compact", and NO it is not easy to start
0 of 1 found this helpful NO it is not "compact", and NO it is not easy to start. (Those were two of the three questions which were asked on this survey, so I felt that I just HAD to answer them!). They are as big as the ones they are replacing (which is a good thing), but they don't "start" worth a darn. Maybe I just haven't found a motor on them or something....
But, as far as "value" goes - YES! - They are actually better-made than the originals and cost at least 5% less than I can get them anywhere else, even with shipping costs factored in. And shipping was fast, too, which is always greatly appreciated. Thanks.
