A lightweight vac for basic cleaning of carpet or hard floors
4 of 5 found this helpful I had one of these 25 years ago and really liked it...eventually the wooden bristle bar wore down and couldn't be replaced. This new model is very basic, and not as good quality as my former Panasonic, but for the price I figure I will get several years of use from it. The features I like the most are that it is lightweight to use and carry up stairs. It also goes from carpet to hard floors easily and doesn't just spread the dirt around on hardwood or tile floors. It will suck up small area rugs that aren't held down. One feature I don't like is that the tube that attaches to the vac will pop off unless you twist it on tightly. You also have to purchase bags and drive belts, so that will add to the cost over time. It is also quite noisy. I had several other vacuums over the years, and the more expensive ones were more substantial and heavy and had cups to empty, but they also seemed to break parts on a regular basis, so it's hard to say which is a better deal in the long run.
