not a "starters" kit.
minicraft had a good reputation but the kit was very expencive shipped from usa, the van isn't a "starters" kit and required plenty of checking before glueing first, the included decals looks pretty dull even against the yellow body and other faults are the spokes which are way out of scale and with some extra work could be replaced with a wire.
another trick is to remove the plastic ring from the wheels could before trying to fit the tires. I lined the floor of the van with some scale wooden strip from an old ship kit.
the 1/16th scale looks ok and against other vehicles looks great, I spose all depends on the cost of the as to what it looks like at the end.
iv'e spent over a $1000 on a 1933 pocher alfa romeo kit with nearly 2000 parts to figure out but then you're talking about a years work or more.

private bentley kit build
the Bentley 1/12th scale is a pretty good kit but you have to take your time with it to bring it up to display mode.
the big fault is the scale of the tires and spokes, I hope to re-scale both somehow of which iv'e started exploring.
the "real" vehicle was a very dark green with a leather clad steering wheel and a polished "spindled" dash board.
I'm NOT going to use the union jack on the side as this is going to resemble a private car so that's also a no number 8 on the radiator grill or bodywork.
I have a private "method" of making the tires a lot fatter in scale which is very easy to fix. another "fix" is to clear spray all the chrome parts to takes off the plastic look.
this is a very good project for the guy's who love extra details and to do this to the "power plant" is a nice little job on it's own, I'm going to install the engine in the chassis first and then the extras to save parts being knocked off.
my advice is that if you're not going to show the engine I wouldn't spend too much time on details engine wise.
I give the kit a 7/10 for value for money.
thanx guys.

don't rush. a controller DOESN'T have any sounds of it's own, you'll need a sound module or same
make sure which roland ax you pic,some don't have the In-built synth engine,they only run as a midi controller which means you need a sound module.
