The newer viewmaster format
Although I am a huge fan for view masters, especially the older ones, I do not like that they have taken the pictures, after they said on the cover somewhere that the picture was bigger, and blacked out the top and the bottom. What is that? It's a lie, and why would they want to do that? View masters have been the greatest toy for a very long time and they think they have to go and change the picture? It made it look chintzy and cheap. Why can't they leave perfection alone? I still bought it for the subject matter and because I wanted to continue a tradition of some sort with my little granddaughter. I still love view masters, even though they have yanked them from the shelves to make some "new and improved" so called toy that regular folks just can't afford for their little ones. The new thing looks great, but I hope they decide to keep the old concept as well.
