Model IV works very well with Windows 8 and older software, easy to setup,
Main reason for purchasing this unit was that the older model of the same unit that I had used for several years with good results using Windows 7 and Windows XP with topo mapping software with no problems. However the older model when I upgraded software to Windows 8, the older model no longer worked, was not recognized by the computer and was not upgradeable to make it work.
Upon receiving this newer model IV,(4), worked very well with Windows 8, as well as Window 7 and Windows XP.
Configuration was no problem and it does seem to have faster response time than the older model and am very satisfied with it. Works with Topo mapping software, Google Earth, and Garmin.

Exceptional product for size and cost, highly recommend, was suprised!!!
Exceptional quality and sound for size of the speakers.
Very good product for the money.
Would very highly recommend for the price and size.
