Nostalgic and Practical Advise
I'm old enough to have taken years of home economics in school and belonged to a 4H group for home arts, this is fun refresher. This little volume is full of practical advice. I refer to it as little because of the size of the book, not lack of content. It's rather small, with really small print. Something I wish I had realized beforehand.

Loved the Program and now the book
If you were lucky enough to watch the BBC production of The Wartime Farm, you'll enjoy the companion book. If you weren't able to watch it, the book still informs and instructs about the difficult years in Britain during the 2nd world war and the make do and mend attitude. What the farmers of England did during this time was nothing less than miraculous. FYI the program can be found on youtube.

Lovely
These are much nicer in person that in the picture. Lovely little boxed to be given as gifts. Very pleased with this purchase!!
