Wrong MACID
The modem works, but arrived with the wrong MAC address (the sticker on the base doesn't correspond to the modem). I had to ping the modem via a wireless router to find the correct MAC address in the modem's GUI, and then give this to the cable company, which delayed getting online by about a week. Which was a bit of a pain.
If someone didn't know how to do this they would basically be buying a brick.
