Very nice setup
1 of 1 found this helpful I have never used a wedge type toolpost before but after reading about them I decided to spend the extra money. I'm glad I did, it holds the tools more solidly than the traditional piston types. The set is very nicely made and all iron. Even though I only have a hobby lathe I think its still worth the money to get a good toolpost. The only suggestion I have is to make the stud in the middle about an inch longer (threaded) that the new owner can cut to length as needed.. Mine is barely long enough and I will have to make a new stud eventually.

Works great
Seems well made and cuts rapidly. The oiling hole is in a slightly different place than the original and I was worried that perhaps this would impede the flow of bar oil. It seems to work fine though and the flow of oil is the same as it was with the Stihl bar. Certainly can't beat the price!

super strong, good value!
1 of 1 found this helpful I pulled down a cottonwood tree that was threatening the house.. I had my 4700lb tractor in high gear and was driving forwards leaving 20 foot of slack then reversing at high speed to shock the limbs out of the tree (I had not cut them through far enough). Even though I did this several times the rope was as good as new. Thats a heck of a lot of stress on this rope and I have used it on several trees since. Not even a single strand has broken as far as I can see.
