LOW BUDGET, HIGH ENTERTAINMENT
I saw this movie about 15 years ago on video.I was so engaged by the characters and actors I bought it on video( R I P videocassettes). I recently bought the DVD.The story is well written/acted.Mara Sobel is perfect as a rich " daddy's girl" determined to get a job at Vanity Fair( or Cosmopolitan- I can't recall), and Aaron Williams who is adorable, is smitten with good looking character" Mark". When 2 of these 3 characters decide to share a less-than-posh apartment on New York City's lower east side, adventures and reality begin.Truly charming movie with rich and engaging characters.I "googled" actor Aaron Williams and he seemed to have vanished into thin air.Definitely a movie to add to your gay themed collection.

I LAUGHED, I CRIED, A WONDERFUL MOVIE!
Owning on video & seen a few years ago, upgrading to DVD was a must. This is a well written, excellently acted and photographed film with top notch performances.Every principle actor in this movie gets five ⭐s from me! Taking place in '84 during England's miners strike, the emotions run high.Truly engaging film.Have Kleenex nearby, it's that good! Highly recommend this movie!

CHER'S BEST FILM!
2 of 2 found this helpful Cher garnered a well deserved Oscar for this film. The supporting Oscar went to Olympia Dukakis( as her Mom). A delite to watch- over and over- about a woman approaching 40 who is " stuck" in her ordinary life.Until she meets her fiance´s brother.Sparks fly! All the characters are wonderfully rich and engaging.A must see film!
