2 of 2 found this helpful Sadly, this one did not work out. I started to charge it and the display so indicated. But, after 30 or so minutes, the display disappeared, never to return. So with or without external power, no sound.
I really have loved this Kaito model for years (I have had four other previously). And yet, they all have had disappearing display problems. But with few exceptions by rather randomly switching power sources, leaving plugged in and applying occasion physical banging, I now have three of my other four working at various locations.
If anybody has experience with this Kaito 1121 problem perhaps you know how to post something on the Internet that would show up with a search.
