Proteus Daiwa spinning rod 30-55
1 of 1 found this helpful This rod is a great rod with plenty of back bone for saltwater fishing...Perfect fit for the new Daiwa BG-5000 with 50 lb braid. It casts well with the heavy poppers I am fishing, & foot is the right size for the boat,,,not too long. perfect combo for rooster fish, dorado, yellow tail and small tuna..I now have 2 of these and will buy more in the future..GREAT ROD GREAT REEL ALSO THE BG 5000.

Power Pro Spectra
Power Pro is the best braid I have used for fishing saltwater....Hands down....
from dorado to marlin and tuna it works great.....
It is the best line I have found that works well on spinning reels as well as conventional reels,,Others are just too soft and tend to slip on the spool or when jigging they pop off the spool AND BACKLASH ,,,,,this one does it all and never breaks.....
