Great general purpose laptop.
Great little laptop! It's no speed demon, but then it's not meant to be, either. The Retina screen is absolutely beautiful and SHARP. The keyboard is a little light on the tough, but I've found I like the Apple keyboards better than other major brands. The touch pad is very sensitive, and very versatile once you get used to it.
This computer is great for home use: basic stuff like email, shopping on the web, basic home office stuff, light gaming is also handled well. The internal drive is blazing fast, and USB C external PCIE drives are VERY fast for extra storage. I use a 1Tb WD Blue drive for extra storage and backups. A larger screen can easily be accessed, up to UHD 3856 x 2160 is handled well.

Great Idea
Great little "helper" device for quickly testing an optical drive outside of the computer. Or it could be easily used for a longer period to hook up a temporary second CD / DVD drive. I think the built-in eject button is brilliant.
