fish finder works
I have not used it a lot, but it seems to work just fine so far.

work but plugging problem
It does center the hole as it is supposed to and the various sizes allows for the use of different size screw holes.
the only problem I have with them, is they do not clear the wood chips. This means you can only drill a little ways and then extract the bit to clean it and then go back into the hole to go deeper.

Use your imagination
This project was a bit of a challenge as the items to be antiqued were large door panels. Rather than dip the item I made up a larger batch and poured it over the panels. It worked great.
