Nice little GPS
This unit is a great buy for the money. It has lifetime maps and updates which runs on Magellan Content software on your computer. Magellan uses Windows so updating is easy. Your antivirus will scan this device thinking its a external storage device. A folder will open, don't make adjustments this might damage your unit, just close file.
When using the unit traveling it does a pretty good job on accuracy. Brings you almost to the front door of places you need to be. At high altitudes like driving in the mountains of Denver and Colorado Springs it was a little difficult at times. This unit tried on several attempts to locate satellites leaving you just driving till it reclaimed a signal. On regular roads and highways it did great keeping up with me.
Feature wise it has a lot to offer with split screen lane change, landscape or horizontal mode that helps fit in different spaces. One Touch home screen button that you program to show you Points of Interest shortcuts. So you can quickly choose a place near by without distractions or long programming.
Battery life is pretty good, runs about 3 hours on battery with normal use ( one place to another) without constant programming. Uses Motorola USB connector type which is nice...can use your old or new phone to connect or charge unit.
Screen resolution is ok, most GPS have terrible pixel ratios anyways. Brightness is not as bright as most GPS's but is adequate. Speaker is not very loud so if you play music loud, you might want to program more visual alerts than audible.
All in all its a good buy for the money. For a occasional traveler like myself it works fine, if you are a serious traveler or Trucker. Then you might want to spend the extra and get a newer, refined unit.
Safe and Happy travels everyone!

Fast and Extremely quiet!
I purchased this Hard Drive for my Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series laptop. Used the install disk to re-install the Operating System as the new drive is blank, only factory partitions and recovery partitions.
After a few hours hours of normal Windows updates, it runs like a champ. Very fast page changes, web downloads and surfing. The 7500 RPM's are amazing, boosted my laptop speed by almost double. The drive itself is very quiet while operating and it has little to no vibration.
Dell makes it easy to remove and replace their drives, this drive took about ten minutes to switch out. It is definitely worth the money for the speed and reliability of the unit. Very pleased with it as I was thinking of selling the laptop, so I'm glad I stayed with it and put this drive in.

Acer Iconia A500
Here are the pros and cons of the Acer A500.
Cons: Very heavy unit, weighs around 5 lbs. Not the type of Tablet you lay around the couch and use. Thickness of the unit makes it hard to find a aftermarket cover/case. Ended up buying a Acer OEM fit case, the one I wanted did not fit. Screen pixel ratios is not very good, screen is not crisp or sharp. The picture quality is very foggy when you use camera. 5MP camera is very disappointing, took a couple of pictures for fun just to see and it was not worth using anymore.
The operating system is outdated on it as well (Honeycomb). There is a 'Acer Enhancement App" on in Play Store but it does not pertain to the Operating system on the A500 series. Also I tried more than several attempts to Upgrade the operating system with a new one. Still did not take, kept telling me Android errors and such. If you have money you could probably send it to someone tech savvy to upgrade.
A lot of apps at the play store will not load on it as well saying, 'Operating system does not support new version". Most likely most of the Apps you use wont function on this unit. Would suggest getting it if you plan to have the system upgraded by a professional.
Pros: Nice large screen to view movies. The slots on the side are useful as well. You can plug in a full size Thumb drive for adding things to your tablet. There is Micro HDMI port to plug in to your TV or Computer screen to watch movies( cord sold separately). The price for it is reasonable for a older unit with a outdated operating system.
Moral to my review would be unless you are very Android Tech savvy or you want to buy this for a child as cheap entertainment. Look for a Acer tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich operating system or higher. It will cost more for it but you will be happier.
