Juliet Bravo Series 4
I fondly remembered this series when it was screened in the early 80's so the chance to watch all 5 seasons again was tempting, especially as I didn't have to wait a whole week between episodes & this series, number 4 being one of the best. The first 3 series starring Stephanie Turner were rather slow & wooden in both storyline & acting departments in comparison to series 4 & 5 where Anna Carteret stepped into her boots, ably supported by David Ellison & Noel Collins, having both developed into far more fluent & interesting characters. What's good about the show is it's ability to make mundane, everyday police work in the fictitious Northern town of Hartley interesting, the wild Lancashire scenery adding a suitable backdrop to each episode. Rather good!!

Good value & excellent results
I've used these pads for several years to remove algae & have found them to be first class, my acrylic tank is still as bright & scratch free as the day it was delivered.

Archive British Steam - Jewels Of A Bygone Era (DVD 200
This program is 60 minutes of pure nostalgia from the 1950s & 60s documenting mainly in colour steam's twilight in & around Snow Hill & New Street stations in Birmingham & the West Midlands, York & Yorkshire, Swindon Works, Stockport & several other locations. I bought the disc primarily to add to my Great Central footage collection as it contains several scenes at Blaby Viaduct & Sheffield Victoria but also enjoyed the rest of it, as much for the locations as the motive power & as with almost all railway footage from this period the sound has been added but it fits in well. The quality is somewhat under-par as it's been transferred straight from video & would have benefitted from being remastered for DVD so for this reason I only gave it 3 instead of 4 out of 5 but the content is great & it's an excellent excuse to while away an hour on the sofa with a cup of tea!
