Brittle plastic breaks too easy.
I run a small hotel and the showers in our room require this exact pressure cartridge. There is no alternative. With just 6 rooms operating for about a year and a half, I have had to replace about 10 of these because they break so often. The little plastic wings are used as leverage to turn the shower to hot and cold. The issue is that these wings are so brittle and break so easily. Once they are broken it could cause a host of issues, including the shower not being able to be turned off, the faucet handle spinning, or temperature setting getting messed up. If you have and alternative option to using this part, I strongly suggest it. Or maybe pfister could start making the wings out of a more durable material.
