A Photographers Camera
4 of 4 found this helpful I bought this same camera new in 1979 along with 3 Nikkor lenses. With the emergence of digital and in a moment of insanity, I traded all of it in 2002. To be fair, it was well used and showing its age. Having been shooting digital professionally for the last 10 years, I've become nostalgic about the days of film.
I found this camera on eBay and snapped it up. It appeared to be in mint condition and I was delighted to receive it, and having added new batteries and run film through it, found that it really is perfect in every way. I'm so happy to have my old Nikon back again, only this one is in much better condition!
By the way, the Nikon F2AS is considered by most aficionados to be the last, best constructed, metal 35mm camera ever built, and along with the superb Nikkor F lenses they produce fantastic images.
