The right PSU for my Dell 2350
Sure, many of the reviews warn to stay away from this power supply, but for an old fart like me with an outdated Dell 2350, this PSU works just fine! My PC does two things: it runs AutoCAD 2000 (also outdated) and it allows me to check my email. There is no gaming going on here, nothing at all to put a strain on this PSU.
I was looking for an affordable (cheap) PSU to replace the failed 200W Max OEM unit that came installed in this PC from the factory. The Logisys PS480D2 seemed to fit the bill nicely, and it's rated for 100 more continuous watts to boot. I don't mind the additional noise of the second fan either - it's somewhat comforting to know for sure that a lot of air is passing through my machine!
Yes sir, I installed this PSU in about 5 minutes flat, and the old Dell fired right back up again - I couldn't be more pleased!
