Portable, comforable and performant
1 of 1 found this helpful It's versatility and portability opens up possibilities I never had before. So far I've used it in Puget Sound, Lake Sammamish and Spada Lake. We had a strong head wind on Spada with white caps, but the boat was fast, stable, and took the waves confidently. I keep it in the back of my RAV4, so it's always available. I plan to try it out on the more placid stretches of the Skykomish on the next warm sunny day. I also want to figure out how to fasten it to a backpack and so that I can take it along on my hikes in the Cascades. It'll be hefty for sure, but I feel that I can haul it to some of the closer alpine lakes.
Of course, it's still an inflatable watercraft, so I wouldn't want to go anywhere near submerged branches or sharp rocks with this boat, especially on a swift river.
The only issue I encountered was that one of the valve retainer rings broke. These are rings that conveniently keep the valves attached to the boat after deflating. So now I have to remember to screw that one valve back in after I deflate the kayak or risk losing it.
