Having read a few not-so-positive reviews on the Amazon (and already in possession of the Band of Gypsys and Live at the Fillmore East albums) I didn't really expect a whole lot of this ceedee but boy I was wrong! It's simply terrific! Everyone involved did a fantastic job. Granted, some of the cymbal splashes seem a bit overcompressed but really overall this project rocks. Bass sounds round and kicks serious muff! The guitar is dead on and I just dig the way they panned the drums. Although this was the first set of the evening it's no holds barred: a unique band of characters kicking it back and ejoying the tunes. Raw. Powerful. Dead on. Just check out "Burning Desire". Doesn't get any better than this.
Do yourself a favor and buy this disc! Now!
