Pencil type soldering iron
1 of 1 found this helpful This pencil type soldering iron is one of the best I've used in over 30 years...
Easy to handle, comfortable grip, and being adjustable is a bonus...
(setting to lowest setting while not in active use keep iron hot without causing tip to wear out)
Also, the mix of changeable tips allows work on various components, from smd's to TO220's...
Finally, this iron is one of the best I've ever used, regardless of price, and I've used Pace equipment on down to import soldering work stations...

first work with singer 4423 heavy duty sewing machine
4 of 4 found this helpful to start, i am a beginner with household sewing machines. i have some experience with an old saddlemaker sewing machine, which i rebuilt, but other than that, i am just starting.
i first sewed hems on my father's dickies coveralls on both legs and sleeves, machine handled the 8 layers at the inseam with a bit on hand assistance and by going slow. all other sewing machine just worked like a dream...
next i sewed some patches over old worn out button holes, and sewed new button holes. only issue was that the manual was skimpy in showing how to operate the button hole feature (pull down button hole control lever, and push towards back before starting to sew). worked well...
finally tested on some scraps, then sewed buttons on shirt.. worked well with no issues...
over all, very pleased with machine... the 4423 is almost a twin to the 4411, except the 4423 has a needle threading feature i had to have (old eyes)...
i first bought a 4411, which worked quite well, but trying to thread the needle was very hard for me...
so i sold the 4411 and bought a 4423...
