Typical VCR from the line of build it cheap and sell it cheap electronics.
0 of 1 found this helpful Simple later model (read cheaply constructed with a cheap feel) VCR. Sound is excellent but the picture from my sample was just OK with evident grain although linearity was good. A remote is essential if you want to do anything other than put in a tape and play it - Sony could have easily added some functions on the VCR itself and it would have cost a few pennies more but they kept it low cost and it shows. Certainly not in the same street as the models upon which Sony built it's name but it is of comparable build quality to most other current budget VCR's. If you are looking for a budget unit this one is worth a look but consider other brand names. Would I buy again - no - I would buy a reconditioned earlier VCR that was put together in a time when build quality mattered at least as much as sleek looks. Having been used to these older machines that are much more substantially built my personal bias is obviously coming into play and I would guess that if you haven't ever used an earlier quality VCR that cost $500++ and are satisfied with the current crop of 'build it cheap and sell it cheap' disposable machines you may well be satisfied with this model.

Great flow and much easier to use than 45% SS with MAPP gas.
1 of 1 found this helpful As a retired metal worker and now a hobbyist I find this 56% silver solder flows really well at a temperature that is easy to reach and hold using a Benzomatic TS8000 torch and MAPP gas.

Nice not too little wristwatch.
1 of 1 found this helpful Easy to see and with sensible user modes, namely an alarm and a stopwatch, this is a handy wristwatch to have in any collection. Being robust and a good timekeeper it makes a good everyday watch. The strap will fit up to a large size wrist and very sensibly has an indent on the keeper to catch the end of the band so that it doesn't stick out and irritate. Too sporty / utilitarian for dress events above jeans and a tee shirt level but anyone buying this watch probably won't be using it in that social setting anyway. Recommended.
