Fits my hand better than original grip
6 of 6 found this helpful This grip fit my S&W 642 after I replaced the pin with the one provided with the grip. It was relatively easy to install but I did have a slight problem getting the screw to engage the nut inside. Once that was done the grip fit well in my hand. There is a slight gap at the top of the grip which I am not fond of but it doesn't appear to be a problem at this point. I can now grip the gun with 3 fingers instead of just two with the original. I haven't fired it yet but I'm sure it will improve handling. It also doesn't appear to add much weight to this little gun. It also fits nicely inside my pocket which was a concern of mine since it is slightly longer.
