A Classic to Be Read
To be honest here, I have not even started reading this book, but I must comment that I received it very quickly! It was very well wrapped and in very good condition! I bought this book because I recently saw an episode of the Dick Cavett Show from 1972 with George Romero and Stephen King! George Romero said this was the book that gave him inspiration to make "Night of the Living Dead". Since this movie is one of my all-time favorites, I was very intrigued to read this book! So hopefully soon I can sit myself down in a quiet setting and read this! I have a feeling that the movie "I Am Legend" with Will Smith will be (hopefully) nothing like the book, as I thought the movie was so lackluster and boring!

Not What I Expected
5 of 7 found this helpful I purchased this DVD thinking it at least an hour long clip of Abbott & Costello meeting the Creature from the Black Lagoon. It is, in fact a SMALL skit located at the end of this DVD, the rest of it being an episode of the Colgate Palmolive Hour Show. I am disappointed to say the least! The skit itself with them is great and I loved it but I had to sit through two horrible, non-funny comedians, the ice skater Sonja Hening, and some pretty bad singing and acting from the performers of this weekly show that was on (I believe) in the late 50s, early 60s. I did recognize Carolyn Jones as the "dame" in one of the show's skits with gangsters, which was not funny or entertaining in the least. I just think the explanation of what is actually on this DVD should be included -- let the buyer know that even though you are seeing the title and the picture on the DVD case, it does NOT mean that the WHOLE DVD is about this -- it is just a small skit. Oh wait, I just did this myself! : )
