I have read several good books about the battle of britain but this far surpasses them in the depth of prewar planning, aeroplane capabilities, and strategies.
I had read this as a library book, and liked it so well I bought it for my own collection. It is a comfortable read with interesting tidbits of strategy; to wit I hadn't realized England was completely oil dependent and the merchant marine ships that brought her aviation fuel made air defense possible.
You will not be disappointed with this book, either buy it yourself or mirror me.

there's nothing not to like about this cd, glad they expanded the original concept, first two volumes are great!
