1950 Arnprior, the second Arnprior
The 1950 Arnprior is really the second Arnprior
One of four famous Canadian Polished Die Varieties....
1955 "Arn" Was the first known Arnprior 1 1/4 waterline variety delivered to Arnprior Ontario.
It comes in two die states, one with a die break.
The 1950 "Arn" was the second known and is called "Arnprior "only because it is the same, 1 1/4 waterlines and 1957 1 1/4 was the third. Perhaps that die was used for all three dates? The 1950 "Arn" and 1957 "Arn" are only known as the Arnprior varieties because they look the same as the 1955. Now there is a 1951"Arn" but only the bags sent to Arnprior Ont are the original Arnprior.
It is thought that the No water lines, the Arnprior variety, the short water lines, and the full waterlines are progressive polishings of the different states of the different reverse dies used with the 1955 Arnprior with the die crack the last die before the 1955 die was replaced due to the defect.
If these were American Dollars they would be called "VAMs". But they are not.... because they are Canada's pown famous die varieties.
Welcome then, to the fascinating world of CVAMs or better yet CPDV's

Blackwater awaits Whitewater
Blackwater awaits Whitewater
Researching Washington Beltway thinking for the last 65 years humanitarian relief seems to take second place to inhumanitarian destruction. But that is not the case. It is only a thought concept remnant of a prior era.
Blackwater, according to Erick is also a tool of protection and did rather well in saving lives of important visitors and government officials over the years deployed. The number of incidents of bezerk force committed by blackwater is rare and regrettable. Like Mai Lai, in Vietnam, they are rare.
But from the top, the use of military force to protect humanitarian objectivesis relatively rare, like the US protection of the Kurds from Mt. Sinjar under Obama. Thousands of people from an ancient Biblical sect were safely evacuated under military escort.
In this book Eric briefly touches upon protecting relief efforts with the sting of modern weaponry. One might wish for a modern crisis that again invigorates the creative ingenuity of Eric Prince who is recasting his perceived role in Blackwater into the faithful "Prince" who fulfilled his task with merit.
We wonder if his ingenuity could be adapted to secure Medecins Sans Frontieres with a protective "Bite" that is 24/7 on task with monitoring threats and decisively engaging them at the micro and the macro level.
