Resurrected freezer economically
The freezer came out of storage failing to even try to run. Repair or replace?
The pricing of the control at other places pushed replacement cost --especially considering we did not know for sure if the compressor, fans, defrost,etc still worked.
The fact it is OEM and the pricing lead to why not try it. It arrived quickly and appeared to be exactly as the one the door.
Easy pop-out, snap in replacement of the unit---and the freezer started right up (WHEW!) We loaded it up after proof-running for a couple of days. All is good!
