Great with a minor flaw
5 of 5 found this helpful I loved pretty much everything about this laptop: looked clean, lightweight, works well. The screen had poor resolution, however. I tried various settings and got it to a point where it was acceptable, but it was something that I still noticed constantly. (the edges of words seemed blurry and not clearly defined; this was perhaps a windows 10 issue.) I would've lived with this as I'm not using it to process high-def photos or watch movies...I planned on using it for heavy grad school work, lots of powerpoints, excel, word documents, etc. with multiple applications and windows open at the same time, which I assume isn't as intensive as heavy gaming or photo processing...The computer seemed to handle this fairly well.
What I couldn't get over was the terrible trackpad! I did buy a wireless mouse to compensate, but I do use the trackpad a lot in class, and it's completely unpredictable and frustrating! Sometimes it is unresponsive, then other times it is too sensitive. I would be scrolling down on a page, and it randomly clicks on links or stops. I just did not want to bother getting used to it, especially when my lectures are so fast-paced and having to worry about where my pointer/cursor is at all times was just exhausting. Others have noted the keyboard "uniqueness;" I did get used to the locations of arrows/shift key after a few days. That was a change I was willing to live with too...
Anyway, I returned it, and there was a 10% restocking fee by Adorama, so I lost a chunk of $$...But I'd rather spend some extra money on something that will not constantly irritate me and stop me from focusing on the work I'm doing...
