I love it!
1 of 1 found this helpful I love my new Marcy/Smith gym. I bought the 5276 model because it was the only one that would fit in my basement. Be advised it is about and inch or so taller than the specifications. Almost everything seems to be of good quality. The vertical guide rods & inner bar are chrome plated. I already had standard weights so I did not install the Olympic sleeves. After a few times of sliding the weights on and off the bar the chrome plated bar started to flake. The more I use it the more flakes off. It isn't to big of a deal since the gym is on concrete. The stitching on the back rest of the bench was poorly sewn but the rest of the stitching was good. The leg press/curl makes a lot of noise when in motion. It is a flaw in the design. I have another Marcy bench that does not do this so the issue is specific to this model. One other thing the single arm pully attachments are foam were you grab to workout. After using it a few times you will notice the edges of the foam wearing. If they were replaced with a solid rubber handles it would be perfect. I had no issues assembling the home gym and all the pieces were there. It took me about six hours to assemble. All the pulleys are working the way they should and I use it 3-5 days per week. I made sure to lubricate all the pulleys including the bar guide rods. If you are looking for a nice home gym this is by far better than any standard bench press you can buy. I love it and am happy with the investment.
