I was drafted into Army, and had been in Vietnam, Republic of, 2nd tour for 22 months. I was in a large battle that had been going on for three days, when we were overun, and I was shot , bayoneted and all torn up from three days of mortar barrages. I was literally KIAed, but they brought me back and the next thing I knew, I was in a hospital in Sydney, Austrailia, being worked on by Vascular Surgeon there. Was there for 9 months and that is when I picked up interest in Aussie coins. I have vast array of Aussie coins as you can imagine, and this coin will make a nice addition to my collection.
